About
I was one of the first filmmakers to win funding from the Arts Council/National Lottery for my short film Pride, which premiered at the 40th London Film Festival, and was released in cinemas by Metro Tartan and broadcast on Channel 4's Shooting Gallery and on Film 4. I won the BEST NEW TALENT award at the Merseyside Arts & Entertainment Awards for Pride.
I have written and directed six short films, which have screened theatrically, in festivals across Europe, Asia and North America, and on television in the UK and Europe.
I am also founder of Detour East Films, a production company specialising in creative strategy and production. With Detour East, I have been producing creative content and campaigns for government and corporate clients since 2009, including Faculty Data Science, Government Digital Service, Cabinet Office, Department for International Trade, Department for the Environment, Instanda, Morgan Philips Group and Sisters in Tech.
